Fender Rumble Club

Hey all, I've gone Rumble crazy. I've just ordered a Rumble 500 from Sweetwater and of course then just saw a great deal on the TB forum for a Rumble 500 and its local to me too....so I bought that too.

Here's my dilemma. I was thinking of returning the Sweetwater Rumble 500 and exchanging it for a Rumble 115 Cab to pair with the one Rumble.....or do I keep the two Rumble 500's and run them as stereo for my gigs? I like the idea of a larger sonic footprint as well as the back up pluses a second amp offers. I can also leave one of the Rumbles at my friends jam room where I play every week and then not have to lug an amp around as much.

Decisions, decisions.

OR . . . return the 500 combo for the 500 head and a 115 cab for even more flexibility! Still run stereo, or leave one at the jam room, OR add the cab to the combo for the full 500 watts while keeping the head for backup, OR order 2 more cabs (your choice of 10s, 12s, or 15s) and run 1,000 watts of stereo!!!

It don't have to be easy, or hard. It should be fun!

G-Dog, you're not making this easy! But I like you're way of thinking. It's something to consider.

I'm in! I haven't laid my hands on the Rumbles yet (currently traveling) but they're paid for and should be in my possession next week!

So, @StudioGC, don't keep us in suspenders. What'd ya get?

And Welcome to the club!

That's what I have done! I have a 500 combo, a 500 head, a 210 cab & a 115 cab. The variations are endless. Sometimes I'll use the combo & the 210 cab, sometimes the head & the 115 cab, and sometimes the combo & the 115 cab. I like having the head as a backup amp if I ever have any problems with the combo.

I need to stay way from this place. I thought that I had everything I that need, and arguably do (R40, R100, and R500 w/2X410), but now you guys have me thinking about adding a second head and more speakers! "Chaining" them indeed makes for practically endless possibilities! :D

@StudioGC - Tough decision, but keeping both is still my lean. Except for weight, it's better than adding a second 210 cab, because it's a "powered" cab (AND you can add even more with additional cabs). Exchanging one combo for head w/cab would be right there with it, but that's more $$$. ;)

Cheers,

Reading all this and considering my own Rumble collection (R15v2, R40, 500H, 2x115, 410v2) makes me hope Fender would design one amp that suits all situations. While keep on dreaming, I'm planning on buying 200H as I'm tired on carrying my 500H with me. Huoh...
