Fender Rumble Club

Other than neo speakers, what are the differences between the Rumble 410 and the Bassman 410 Neo?
Not as much as you might think. Both are manufactured in Fender's Ensenada, Mexico facility. Both have the same vinyl covering and grill cloth. Not sure if the casters are the same or not. Ditto the steel handles.

Big difference in plywood. Bassman Pro uses 7-Ply 3/4" White Birch Plywood. So main differences are: the more robust box construction; custom designed made in USA Eminence Neo drivers, and a compression High freq horn and attenuator.

You know well the tone of the ceramic-ferrite Eminence 10's in the Rumble 500 combo. You'll just have more of the same full round vintage vibe. Beef if you will.

Neos are going to be more defined throughout the entire frequency response curve. More accurate and have more top end air. This does not necessarily = more beef. Is the Bassman Pro 410 really better in terms of sound quality or merely different? Only your ears and pocketbook can answer that.

The difference is like everything else. Companies want to make products for you to buy for every possible budget. The difference between Bassman and Rumble lines are quality of hardware and materials used. The Bassman cabinets will take more abuse on the road as they are man-handled around in trucks and vans and airplanes and tossed around on stage. The electronics are better on Bassman Amps compared to Rumbles -- better pots, better more durable switches, more robust jacks, etc.

If you think of the difference between MIA Jazz Bass and MIM Jazz Bass, I think the comparison gives a pretty good indication of what you can expect with the amplifiers (and speaker cabs), which is great sound and value with most of the difference being mostly unnoticeable in everyday use.

Thanks. I'm not concerned about the quaity - as you know I have Rumble stuff and think the quaity is good. It's the sound in which I'm most interested.

Good comments about ferrite vs Neo. Even though there shouldn't be, I hear a difference in ferrite/ ceramic magnets. To my ear they always sound beefier. My Neo cabs always give me an issue with sounding thin. If I could just get a Rumble 410 in 4 ohm...
