Fender Rumble Club

I did notice that the 500 is close to sounding "flabby" on my low notes open E....F. It's taken a bit of tweaking with my EQ to get past that.
Never heard a flabby Rumble. You want to hear flabby? Audition any Acoustic 15" combo. Now that's flabby. Worst sounding crapola I've ever heard in my entire life. EQ is for tone shaping/sculpting to the room you're in at the volume you require. It changes every time. Be sure to decouple from the floor with an Auralex Gramma.

Hi everyone. Too many pages on here to read them all, so if this was already asked, I apologize. I'm considering getting at least two, possibly 3 one by 12 cabs and I have not heard much said about the rumble 12's. I like their price points and the fact that they use emminence speakers. I'm sure the aguilars, epifani's, and bergs are better, but the price on all of those is more than twice as much. So how good are the rumble 12"s?

I'm pretty sure they aren't. Just different and more expensive. Run a search and you'll find plenty of first hand testimony. @honeyiscool decided he like the Rumble 112's better than his Aguilar SL112 Neos. @bdplaid has had a lot of great things to say about his Rumble 112's, and he has had an absolute ton of very expensive high end gear. I love my V2 Rumble 112 Neos.

The only 12's that really interest me from other manufacturers are Jeff Genzler's new cabinets which use Italian Fatal Neo woofers. Very expensive.

Hi linnin, I'll check out the links in your response. But correct me if I'm wrong, but the rumble's are not neo's which is one of the reason's other than price they interested me. I was referring to the Aguilar DB and Gs series cabs which are not neo's. I am not a fan of neo's. All my cabs 2 Bergs and 1 fender all have ceramic emminence drivers with die cast frames. I feel they handle volume and the amount of low end I use better than neo's. I'm sure the new Genzler cabs are great, I currently use a Shuttle 9.0, but Jeff's new cabs are a lot of money.

Perhaps it protested against the lamp on its head ;)

Hey, and congrats with you new combo!

Well, playing with my blues guys tonight, all sounded good with the Rumble 500. Tomorrow I pick up my #2 Rumble 500 and then band practice with my A Team band with a medium sized bar gig Saturday. We'll see how the two paired together do. I'll keep everyone posted.

:D Happy Third Anniversary :D

 Fender Rumble Club

Thanks one and all for yet another year of astounding growth reaching a total of 616 members. :hyper: 517 pages; 10,335 posts, and well over half a million views!

The Fender Rumble line continues to be the world wide market leader in total bass amp sales with the Rumble 500 being the best selling bass amp for the second year running.

We look forward to yet another record breaking year. :bassist: Rock Hard :bassist: and as always  Rumble On!

Questions about buying a second 200c vs a 500c. I have a 200c and I'm considering a second buy perhaps I should sell it and get the 500.

- will I be missing out on the extra wattage of the 500?
- will I be missing out on the convenience of the single combo?
- I love the 15". Am I overthinking that and the 2x10s is great?
- thinking of the 2 200c's as a biamped setup. Dirt in one, clean in the other, using a x-over etc or dual external pres. is this overkill and the single 500 will be just fine?

I'm not a touring pro. So perhaps i am over thinking it. Thanks in advance.

I like carrying fewer things. The whole point of my purchasing a Rumble 500c stemmed around the idea that it was lightweight and it kicked booty. I like showing up for most rehearsals and gigs with just one amp. Easy in. Easy out. That said, you're the only one who can decide if two will work better for you.

Edited to add: I DO have two Rumble rigs, but I never use them together.

Let the mating beg.in. Double Rumble 500's tied together with "effects send" to "effects return".

Sounds pretty darn good!

I have always been using my Sansamp Bass Driver DI with past amps, but this is the first amp (s) where I don't feel I need it.

I presume with this arrangement I'm getting 350 watts (x2) with this arrangement? Anyone?

I had a 500c and returned it FWIW. I orig had (and still have a 100c)...bought the 500c for a bit more air but in small rooms it wasn't enough difference to keep as a standalone (maybe I had a bad one?). I needed a bit more push so I picked up a 200C which has been plenty loud for what it is. I use FOH for the room and can hear great on stage.
