I saw a guy once with a hand missing but he had a attachment to the missing hand- like small pinchers to hold his pick. End of the arm where the hand was.

I'm reversed, I've never heard a 410/115 setup that I Know of. It would seem to me the 115 would have difficulty being heard unless it's very efficient. IDK?
It seems very popular to show this type of stack by brands. I'm assuming to show the variety of cabs they offer. But from everything I've read about stacking cabs, I think you are correct.
You are correctomundo! It is all marketing. Some photographer stacked a 410 on top of a 115 for an advertisement, and it's been total marketing stupidity ever since.

BTW. Back when I started a bassplayer wouldn't be caught dead playing out of 10s or 12s. If he didn't have 15s I'm talking 2/15s sometimes 3/15s then he wasn't doing nothing. A few younger players I met find this hard to believe.
Things have most definitely changed, and woofers have gotten better across the board. Well designed 15's will always have broad, smooth dispersion throughout the entire midrange and that is what makes them special.
I have a really nice pair of 15's that I use with a Mesa D800, but they ain't Fender 15's. They ain't Mesa's either!

Meh... You should hear me talk about the Maple Leafs, you'd think I own the team.
And I was doing my best on the last page to promote Tom Clement and his basses.
