Fender Rumble Club

The Mystery amp is mine! Turns out it is a standard Rumble 100 v3. Whoever posted it as a 15" speaker just doesn't know the difference between a 12 and a 15. It is very clean. No dings or rips or anything. All the pots are clean, so scratches or anything. It looks like new. I got a really good deal on this. Sorry, but I forgot who posted the link, but thank you very much. Even with shipping and tax it was $177 and change. Not so bad. Love me some Fender Rumble Club.

You're welcome :) I almost bought it myself, but when I decided I really needed bigger I was hoping someone from here would benefit.

Just got my first bass two weeks ago and picked up a Rumble 25 v3 to go along with it. I know it's small potatoes compared to some of the rigs you all have, but it seems like a great combo amp to learn on and should last a long, long time for my usage...my neighbors probably wish I got a 15 though haha ;)
GREAT Choice! Welcome to TalkBass and most especially Welcome to the Fender Rumble Club @mjb23gvsu! :woot: You are member #668 :hyper:
We hope you enjoy learning to play the electric bass guitar.
 Rumble On!

The September issue of Bass Player magazine has a "Lightweight Amp Head Roundup" featuring 13 heads all using ICEpower power-amp modules. Everything from Acoustic to Warwick.

Except....

Fender. There is no review of the Fender Rumble 200 or 500 head.
What the hell, people!

There are 2 amps in Rumble 500 territory: Carvin BX700 and Hartke TX600.
I think Bass Player did a disservice by not including the very popular and affordable Rumble heads.

Just guessing but they might not have had the Fender Rumble heads to do the review. But who knows...

Welcome and congrats on the Rumble !

I've got a Rumble 500 head sitting on top of 2 v3 112's but I'd love to have a 25 to use to jam with acoustic players.

Even after you get beyond the beginner level you'll be glad you have that little 25 around at times !

I think its pure blasphemy that BassPlayer didn't include any Rumbles in their comparisons-I'd love to hear FMIC version of this song.

I have that issue and read the article, I was wondering where the Rumbles were too. The Rumbles are even more affordable than many in the article. Rumbles have more features than most on that list. I was very disappointed. I think the Rumble would have shined in that article, especially since the fellow that wrote it seemed to have nothing but good things to say just about all the amps. I only recall him nit picking 1 or 2 things on a couple amps.

Maybe we should email Bassplayer and let them know about this glaring omission. Perhaps they can do a stand alone article about the Rumble line of amps, cabs and combos.

Yeah, I was surprised by this as well. I have yet to see a write up about the Rumble line in BP, and I find that very surprising.

My guess is that FMIC didn't make a direct deposit to Bass Player's bank account. Just like car magazines, good will is bought and paid for.

Totally possible, though Fender did pay for the back page ad for the Flea sig Jazz bass. One thing I noticed when I started reading BP again over the past couple of years was the glaring omission of just about everything Fender related. No ads, no reviews, nothing. It's only recently, with the promotion of their Elite series of basses, that I've seen ads and reviews again. Could be a few different reasons, but we might never know.

Can't afford to offend anyone be it the advertising space buyer and especially not the readership. But readers can be offended by way of omission as seen right here. Email the editor and include a link to this page.
Fender's Rumble line of bass amplification is clearly Best In Class by virtue of being global market leaders in bass amp sales.
