Fender Rumble Club

There is a big impact. Dime the gain and experiment. To me the sound thins out and gets real tinny. I can't stand it myself. It's not a tube amp and it's not like you're overdriving a tube power section with a tube powered gain stage. Even then there's a lot of distorted mud to be had doing that. I guess the sludgebots would like that.

I go with little or no gain. All master volume. I like thick; rich, clean tone. Let the power amp do the heavy lifting. That's its job.
Thanks, that what I was thinking as well. Ive been setting the gain at 9 for my passive P and off for my EBMM with good results.

The gain if over used with the EBMM is stupid sounding. I found that if I use it at about 9 with the overdrive on at 1 to .05 and level at 12...everything else flat.....it is ridiculous sounding. Balls that an elephant would be envious of.

...none of which I will use tonight playing jazz. Gain 0 OD 0

In my soon to be 28 yrs here at Fender, 9 in Custom Shop, and close to 19 in R&D running the model shop and working on countless prototypes and artist support, this has always been my passion. As a bass player and now being in charge of engineering most bass models along with some guitar models this has been a dream come true. I know my name isn't really out there as many others and that's because I've always made it a point to keep my head down and do the best I can at a job I love. Over the years I've worked with some of the best in the business and it's been an honor. Cheers! MB

Lenny, the 200 is a 15 inch speaker. I can't speak for church gigs, but mine served me very well during jam sessions. It was just loud enough to play with a drummer, and Rumbles have a nice vintage tone and take pedals well.

I can't say if the 100 would be loud enough to make it over a drummer, but it would probably be pretty close depending on how heavy handed they were and if you had PA support.

The 200 will let you hook up an extension cab.

I liked my Rumble combo enough that I picked up a Rumble cab when it came time to upgrade.

Edit: correcting mistake

Thanks - I cannot stand horns/tweeter - that is why I was thinking the 100. Mostly coffee shop type gigs and at church it is very controlled (drummer is behind a glass screen).

I am thinking about the rumble 12 combo - I think it is 100 watts or 200 not sure - somebody tell me about them.

Small gigs and church gigs.

Thanks

Lenny

I never realized the 100 has the eminence driver too. That's my bad. Spreading misinformation around here. I'll edit my post to reflect that.

I know this may have been asked before, but im looking for an affordable padded cover for the 210 cab.
I bumped my new 210 cab lightly against a door frame and it tore a small flap in the Torlex, it seems to be pretty thin and if it tears that easily ill need a padded cover. I have found a few online sources, but they are either not padded or $100+.

EDIT: After a better search I found LeCover Fender Rumble 210 extension cab, Bass Amp, Guitar Amp, Pro Audio, seem to be recommended and not to $$.
