Fender Rumble Club

The cabinet logo matches the 1970's style logs on the Bassman Pro Series. The Rumble combo logos are from the early pre-CBS 1960's. Take your pick.

Take your rig out side and blast it! When the approaching sirens are louder than your Rumble, it's time to shut down. Eazy-Peazy Lemon Squeezy.
Thanks for the logo info, Linnin. Gives me a better idea of what to search for. I am sure they have it at the Fender parts site, but might be able to find cheaper elsewhere.
Like the testing outside idea , but with my stick-up-the-butt neighbors I won't get much time in before they really do call the cops.:bassist:

View attachment 1061694 Question about Fender Logos....My new Rumble 115 cab came this morning, just finished getting it set up (see pic). My music space in the house is also my home office where I run my business, so I really don't have much space for the gear, hence the amp being set in a corner between a filing cabinet and a credenza. Anyway, in the pic the 115 is on the bottom and the 200 combo is on top (sideways). I spun the combo logo a while ago after I bought it because I have always kept it sideways due to space. Will still do that because it matches up to the 115 cab great that way, and looking at the controls sideways does not bother me. My question is, the logo on the 115 is not the same as the combo. Bought the combo back in September of last year, so not that old. But now the logos are quite a bit different. Picky issue, but I think I need to find matching logos. I am trying to decide, but at the moment I like the 115 logo better, so I guess I need to try and find somewhere on line where I can order another like it for the combo.
As far as the new cab, I have not had a chance to try it out. My wife also works from home and is in her office at the front of the house, so I will have to wait until she is out of the house before I can really see what it sounds like.

Blackfacing a Rumble

This link is a distillation of some messages on this thread about kitting out your amp with different logos, knobs and so on. I have a pair of the non-flat logos that I bought from Brook Mays and they are the same ones Fender sells. According to the e-mail archivers, they cost me $7.80 each plus $5.00 for shipping. The relevant search term would be, "Fender® BlackfaceT Amplifier Logo"

Thanks for the info and the link. I think that is the logo I am going to go with...the Blackface logo for the combo so it will match the 115 cab. Glad to see I am not the only one who worries about picky little stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with the important issue, which is how awesome it sounds.

I think it's fun and a bit of a statement to have downsized from the fridges, playing in a doom trio, where in the genre, amp worship is the norm these days. Can't wait to get my 210 cab for my 500 combo. I've been playing massive Mesa or Orange 810s for a long time, but since hearing what the Rumble setup can do, hauling 810s around just makes no sense anymore. From our last tour, the hassle with the gigantic Orange cab was the single worst part of gear handling. My first gig with the 500 combo + a Mesa 15" had all the gut-rattling volume I had with my previous gear.
Never looking back!
I just came back from downsized gear I went micro for the past 2 years. It just didn't carry the same
Very nice! Do you usually keep those eq settings the where they are? I'm still trying to dial in "my tone" (I know...a never-ending quest for the holy grail!) But I think my highs are too high, but I don't want to get too boomy either if I boost the bass too much. I typically keep gain and bass at noon. I also have an active bass...I'm not sure if I should not boost the bass settings and just use the amp eq, or boost both?
Playing the rumble through as many cabs as I have in the past 6 months was an eye opener. I've never had to change the EQ so drastically on any other head I've owned when switching cabs. Its a good thing though. When I played the rumble through the Ampeg 410HLF the settings were totally different but dang the sound was awesome. The two 410 V3 rumble fender cabs I had IMHO are crap compared to the Ampegs. They sounded horrible in side by side testing with my band. They just couldn't keep up with the Ampegs in any way shape or form. Now I will say the 410 Rumbles sounded nice and warm with the Fender Super Bassman 500 head on em but I hate Fender tone stacks with every fiber of my being so I got rid of that head. The settings as you see them on top of this 810E is where they are at all the time unless the show requires more volume. My Ampeg 3Pro & 4Pro are standing by waiting to tag in though lol.

I have a new weekly gig with the house band at an "Open Stage" blues jam, first night was this past Sunday. I took my Rumble 500 head/210 cab rig, it not only sounded perfect for the setting and the room, i received lots of complements on the tone, even from non bass players:) A few came up and asked "is that a Fender?" seemly surprised by how good it sounded:)

Hey--I played my sax through the Rumble 500C with a touch of a EHX Bass Clone pedal effect for light chorus. Man--I think I liked it better than my Bose L1 set-up for sax.

This was on a gig where I played bass/guitar as well. I didn't want to take the Bose ---too much gear to tote.

I was pleased with the result. My band-mates heard my sax as business as usual. So--good result.

No one ever walked up to me when I had a Harley and said, "Nice motorcycle. Is that a Honda (Yamaha, Kawasaki)?" When they ask if it is a Fender, it because it is the most recognizable name and known to be the best. You could always compliment them on their good taste and knowing quality when they see it.

Ok, new Rumble 115 cab arrived yesterday but did not get a chance to try it until this morning. Connected it to my Rumble 200 combo. All I can say is WOW. I know people told me that it would sound great and make a big difference, but I was not really expecting what I got. The 200 combo with the 115 extension cab is fantastic. This is the sound I have been looking for all along. Granted, my personal preference is 15 speakers for bass, but still....I always liked the 200 combo sound but adding the extension cabinet put me over the top. So I am done. No more amp search or wondering what if. This is the setup for me.
Played for about three hours this morning until I just had to stop to get to a meeting. Played first with a P-bass with flats (but no tort:laugh:) and then with a Ray4 with John East Pre-amp and Delano pickup. Very different sounding basses, but both sounded awesome through the 200 and 115. I know I am rambling here, but I just can't say enough about how the extension cab made such a difference. I had no idea. And today was all at low volume in my music room. Can't wait to push it a little and see what it can really do.:hyper:

Thanks for the share...I have a 500 head and 210 cab, but do defiantly plan on getting a second 210, ill never need it volume wise though:). IMO Stingrays sound great with the Rumbles, it warmed the tone on mine right up and added a thicker low-mid than im able to dial in on my GK.
