Yep, that and Genz Benz was over priced for the market and priced themselves out of existence. Once the 'Great Recession' hit in 2008, F.M.I.C. withdrew it's bid to go public. Once that happened there was no reason to keep Genz Benz alive and financial life support was cut off and the company shut down. Once F.M.I.C. sold off it's assets from the Kaman acquisition the Genz Benz name was also sold.Seems I can dial in tone much faster and easier with Rumble. I find myself disenchanted with the Genz Benz![]()
Same for SWR I still have the golight 410 excellent cabYep, that and Genz Benz was over priced for the market and priced themselves out of existence. Truth be told, Bill Schultz should have never bought SWR, but he was bound & determined to do so. It never made a profit for F.M.I.C.Same for SWR I still have the golight 410 excellent cab
I currently have a V3 100 and was debating getting a used V3 200. Does anyone have both these amps? Besides the obvious 40W increase ( without extension cab ), is there an advantage to having the V3 200 over the V3 100?

^^^ Agree with @Shawn Luckman ^^^ The Rumble 200 combo is my favorite. The 40 watt increase is 40% more power over the Rumble 100 and nothing to sneeze at. Plus the 15" Eminence woofer is absolutely fabulous by anyone's honest assessment. I rarely use my modified (Eminence S2012 Neo woofer + acoustic foam damping) V2 Rumble 75 anymore. The only honest reason I can give you is my own, I picked the V3 200 combo because it had a 15" speaker & I have always liked 15" speakers in my combos & cabs.

I had 200 and bought the 100 for home. Unlike the 200 I felt the 100 was easily overloaded. I returned it. I now have the 500 which is also great.
Just like Martha White Flour, the Fender Rumble 200 combo will do you proud every time. The 100 felt a little strained last practice, hence my inquiry
Thanks for the replies. I am in a Bluegrass project and because we do not use a drummer, 100W has been enough. We have since added another member ( 2nd banjo player ) and believe it or not, these guys play LOUD. The 100 felt a little strained last practice, hence my inquiry
The BG Project sounds fascinating! What do they use for amplification?
(And I see the "EBS Club" in your sig...what do you haveof theirs? I have their MicroBass II Pre Amp and really like it.)
BTW, I use a Ruble 500 Combo for home use so don't be shy about going bigger!
Believe it or not, they use ZERO amplification, you'd be surprised how loud two banjos and mandolin can be unplugged.
As far as the EBS in my sig, I have an EBS T90 all valve bass amp. I sounds killer through the 8x10 I have.
Hey Guys,
Do you think with PA support that the Rumble 25 will be good for a monitor at a church gig - or should I go larger. I do not want to take my 500 and 15 cabinet.
Thanks
As far as I am aware, the 25 doesn't have a DI out (or line out in the case of Rumble).
I would also go for the 40 anyway, even if it does, so yyou have the same front end as on the 500.
You should go with the Rumble 40 for all the reasons @JACink stated.Do you think with PA support that the Rumble 25 will be good for a monitor at a church gig - or should I go larger.
^^^This^^^ XLR Out + a front end you know and love.As far as I am aware, the 25 doesn't have a DI out (or line out in the case of Rumble).
It doesn't
