The 40 does have the XLR out.
Oooops, I stand corrected. Sorry and thanks!Actually you are. You are Rumbler #754. Did I miss notifying you?
Yes I read that!I mentioned this on another thread and thought it was worth mentioning here.....I played them all...and currently own a GK MB212-ii that "WAS" my primary gigging rig, but these days I much prefer the classic tones and warm punch of my Rumble rig. Are there much, much more expensive boutique-ish amps I may like as much or a bit more, sure....but paying 200%-300%+ more for maybe having a 5% "better"(subjective i know) tone is NOT a winning equation for me.
For example, I also like some the MarkBass tones, its costs nearly twice as much as the Rumbles...but does certainly not sound twice as goodFor the price, widespread availability and growing reputation, the Rumbles cant be beat, been gigging with it weekly since last Nov., not one hint of an issue.

It's pretty clear who has and who hasn't actually played through a Fender Rumble. Plus the usual haters & bashers.Thanks... My approach to Rumble bashing threads or posts is to respond with personal experience and testimony and/or a well thought out counter argument. I try to avoid "glittering generalities, most haters probably just don't like the classic footprint or have not spent time with the eq and I try to point that out![]()
Yea, usually when probed....they went into a GC, pulled something off the wall, set controls at noon and passed judgement after 5 minIt's pretty clear who has and who hasn't actually played through a Fender Rumble. Plus the usual haters & bashers.
Oh yes! Completely unbiased and magnanimousYea, usually when probed....they went into a GC, pulled something off the wall, set controls at noon and passed judgement after 5 min![]()

I have a 210 with the Rumble 500 head and I too was skeptical, I mean sure, everyone in the Rumble Clubs vouches for them. It was weird to hear the great bass sound at our jam and seeing that little cab with 3 guitarists and a firm hitting drummer. Master was at about 12:30. Convinced me. Now I'm GASSING for a second 210. I mean, you may not like it in the end but it's good you're trying it.That's pretty amazing. I have to admit I'm a little skeptical because the Rumble 1x12 and 2x10 cabs just appear too good to be true.
I'm thinking I'll just order a 1x12 and see for myself, since it's only $300. I could just return it same day if I don't like it.
I play, basically, exclusively at church, I just picked up a 40 over a 25 for the specific reason of having an XLR out. So, yep, get the 40. You won't regret it. Also, be extra nice to the guy at Guitar Center and he may get you out the door for $160 or so.Hey Guys,
Do you think with PA support that the Rumble 25 will be good for a monitor at a church gig - or should I go larger. I do not want to take my 500 and 15 cabinet.
Thanks

I currently have a V3 100 and was debating getting a used V3 200. Does anyone have both these amps? Besides the obvious 40W increase ( without extension cab ), is there an advantage to having the V3 200 over the V3 100?
The only honest reason I can give you is my own, I picked the V3 200 combo because it had a 15" speaker & I have always liked 15" speakers in my combos & cabs. But today's speakers are light years ahead of what I had back in the 80's, many of the newer 12" speakers sound great the V3 100 & 2x10 cabs being a prime example.
I reloaded my 100 with an Eminence 2512 and got an increase in output that puts me somewhere in between the stock 100 and the 200. I'm happy for the moment with those results, and if I need anything bigger on a job, I can always roll out my TC BG250 or my old Ampeg B2.I currently have a V3 100 and was debating getting a used V3 200. I've started using that when I play at church--instead of a DI to go into the board. The 40 does have the XLR out.
So the Rumble 500...does it have built in compression? I love my Orange crush combo but I'd like to add a combo for smaller gigs where I can control the compression. I already know i love the tone of the new Fender stuff. Killer gear with a very stylish vibe![]()
