Fender Rumble Studio 40 for recording

Your Studio 40 is its own audio interface, and it works great for home recording by just plugging in the USB. Fender doesn't give a lot of guidance in the old manual for how this works, but start by plugging into your computer, and the rest is pretty straightforward.

I´ve been recording using the USB out directly to an Android tablet using the BandLab App. No need to install any driver.
I have attached a sample audio file I recorded just to demonstrate. The USB gain was set to 10 dB and I’ve used a jazz bass. Mixing audio tracks is also possible and you can listen to the backup tracks along while recording.

Can anyone comment on the quality of the amp modelling within the Studio 40?

I'm not looking for a practise amp. I'm looking to upgrade from my POD HD, specifically wanting high quality SVT modelling that I can use to record. USB recording is an option, but I would have outboard I would prefer to patch through. I would record exclusively via DI.

If the Rumble is an upgrade to the modelling algorithms within the POD HD, i'll definitely give it a look.
