Fender/squier... basses they could make.

I'll add my two cents worth to the "dream Squier" idea...

1) I would love to see a 5 string version of the '51 P (actual slap body, not the contoured mid '50's body.)

2) I would love to see a 5 string version of the VM Tele bass, but they would need to add a "J" pickup near the bridge.

3) I would love to see a 5 string version of the Jaguar bass, but with soapbars instead of "J" pickups.

You'll make them and they will sell. As simple as it gets. You have the plans, the design,the copyright, the capabilities, the factory, the world distribution. Start with the exact Squier 30" scale copies of the original Coronado I and II versions, maybe in two colors each. Stop.

Later on, when you'll realize that the more you build the more you sell, you might even offer them in 30" and 34" scale versions, 4 or 5 strings, more colors, matching headstock etc. On both the I and II...

Oh boy: will this ever happen!!!
