Fender Squire P bass wiring and pots problem

Hi All,
I have attempted to replace the pots on the guitar. I have followed the wiring diagram (I downloaded from the web)

When I plug it in now, it there is a heavy humming and crackling noise...sounds bad! even at low volume.
The pots are new so I would imagine it's not coming from them.

Can anyone advise please

Sounds like you have a missing or poor ground connection somewhere. Double check your wiring. This is how I prefer to wire a P-Bass…
