I've not been there. There are videos of the factory, and no, it doesn't look like a sweatshop. What bias are you talking about?
Well you seem to be implying that one should buy MIA simply to not promote the inferior working conditions of "other" countries. Or did I misunderstand something along the way? (honestly asking, not being snarky)
That not the sole reason the buy a US Fender over an MIM, but IMO, it's a great reason to pay the premium for US made goods in general.

Not really...a good reason would be "it keeps our local economies bolstered"...but even that's not true. Fender's an internationally traded company that just happens to be headquartered in SoCal.
You need to learn your wood grades...cuz there are ZERO American basses made by fender with anything above a AAA grade wood. lol! American Standards & Specials would be lucky to have AA grade.
There were also 2 Highway One series. Highway 1 & Highway One. One had a badass, one did not.
American Standards have CS pickups.
P Specials also have a Jazz neck
I ALMOST CHOOSE AMERICAN SPECIAL DUE THE THIN P NECK - OVER MY AMERICAN STANDARD - but the standard sounded a little better, have a spectacular case -to keep it safe-, and i am not a fast player really...

Not a good reason at all. You have inferior working conditions in your country, too. They're just overshadowed by the patriotic propaganda machine that is the American Economy.
Yes, working conditions in China/Asia & Indonesia can be bad, but some can be MUCH better than you have, too.
That being said, the working conditions in the MIM plant are at least on par with the MIA plant. So, your argument of working conditions is invalid.

American Special P has the same width at the nut (1.625") as the MIM Standard P and the American Standard P; however, the difference is the Am Special's neck is thinner front to back compared to the other two.

Exactly right. Srirachaglo said the Am Spec had a "louisville slugger" neck. That couldnt be further from the truth.
Fender withdrew its IPO back in July. They are still a private company headquarted in Scottsdale, AZ, no?

The purpose of the Ensenada factory is to build instruments that can fill a lower price tier using far cheaper labor and environmental compliance. If that isn't a concern at all to you, enjoy your race to the bottom.
The Mexican deluxe active P doesn't have a regular P neck. It's 1.5 at the nut instead of 1.625. I have been trying to get a hold of one on its own because of this.
