Fender Starcaster Bass "Reissue"!!

So MF has them available for preorder now with an "expected ship date" of 11 October. Probably gonna have to pull the trigger now; if they decide to do the usual and push the dates back again and again I'll just cancel and purchase elsewhere.

Now just gotta find that case....

I wish he had ditched the overdrive and demonstrated the different pickup switch settings in the video. Demoing a bass through an overdrive pedal is pointless in my opinion..

Guys, I was wondering what a Starcaster might look like with an ES335 style pickguard. So I Photoshopped this up

I had lost my faith in Fender for many years, I could not get along with any instruments they put out in the last few years, even MIA's played not so great, in my humble opinion. Thats why my only Fenders are vintage or made in japan.
Then the Starcaster came into my hands - looks like a million bucks, the action and even the tuning where spot on right out of the box. And it is a complete new fender sound!!! Way to go, man, really dig it (still waiting for the shortscale flatwounds though).

So give us a review. How does the neck feel? Chunky? Slim?
