Fender Starcaster Bass!

Interesting, Ibanez must have copied that headstock on some of their basses in the 80s. Or just had similar inspiration, I guess.

I like the Coronado better, overall. The body on this looks all squished!
 
Supposedly, they only made 3 of these, and this particular one is a prototype bass. Someone on another forum emailed them, and this is the response they got.
This beautiful beast is extremely rare. Guitar Aficionado just did a special on this very bass, if you get a chance to pick on of those magazines up I would highly recommend it. It is on page 28.
This is definitely a prototype bass. As far as we have been able to determine, only 3 were documented and one was allegedly lost in a New York music store fire some time ago.
They were never released into regular production. The scale length is very slightly longer than 30".
We are open to offers on this bass, so if interested please let us know.

Either way, 20G is about twice what I would think even a collector would pay for it.
