Howdy everyone... I want to dump my Studio Bass Amp into a head + cabinet form. Can anyone point me in the direction of a replacement head cab? Is it the same dimensions as a Blackface Bassman? I own one of those and to me it seems like it'd be too tight. Perhaps something like a Bandmaster Reverb head cabinet?

Sorry, I just saw this - the Super sounds great thru a Subway 115. but then, every amp I've played thru those cabs has sounded great...

I don't believe the head cabinet for the Super Reverb will work. To my recollection, the Studio Bass chassis requires a 24 1/2 inch cut out. That is the one for the TWIN REVERB. Super Reverb cut out is only 23 1/2 inches wide. There is a section on this on the Studio Bass Wiki page here at Talkbass. Check it out.

I think you're right - I knew one of the Mojotone offerings would work, but couldn't remember which one... I ended up making my own...

in Germany you can buy a headshell of a Fender Twin Reverb (665x240x240 mm), it fits perfect to the head of a studio bass or super twin (I fittet both in this shell).

The Bassman 135 seems to have a nearly identical shell, only the height isnt the same.

looks very close .. cfortner says his is 665x240x240mm which is 26.18 x 9.44 x 9.44 inches ... and the Mojotone case you linked to is 26 1/8 x 9.5 x 9.5 inches.
I know mine went into some Mojotone headcase, but I bought it that way and did not have to put the amp into the case.

pretty amazing, your Studio Bass rig looks very much like mine. Your drivers look like JBL's and mine are Faital 15PR400's, and LDS put 2 ports in for each driver vs your cabs 1 port per, but otherwise very similar.
I probably posted this before, just after I got the cab, but I'm really liking the sound of the Studio Bass thru this Fender Fullerton 1x15 loaded with an EV 15L (F?, pretty sure they are the same thing). It's not quite as loud as the LDS 2x15, but it has such a sweet low mid thing going on and the mids are present but very musical.
I used this rig for a medium volume outdoor gig this fall. Amp and cab had to cover the venue because the PA was vox only and the Studio Bass+EV 15 handled the gig with ease. The EV 15L is a very good match for the Studio Bass IMO/IME.
so, here it is again for good measure !

It’s been awhile, but I had the perfect gig to use my ‘75 Precision / Studio Bass / EVM 15L rig last night. Man, it sounded AWESOME!
I'm sure the cab sounds great. I always loved the sound of the older paper cone JBL's. I used D140F's back in the day and always liked the results.
I actually like the sound of the EV 15L with the Studio Bass better than the Faital loaded 2x15 cab. The newer cab (2 x neo Faital 15PR400) is louder (greater total SPL), but there is a very sweet low mid punch that the ceramic EV 15L cab delivers that the neo Faitals just don't. And the EV 1x15 cab is plenty loud for any number of my gigs.
