As someone who has typically always owned more basses than shirts, and has never worried about any of them “losing their mojo” by relaxing quietly in their cases for extended periods, I recently made a pass through the closet and was a bit pinged at how many Fenders I had. I am by no means a dedicated Fender geek, but after reuniting with a few of them it is clear to me why they have long been held in high esteem by a large chunk of the bass community. Having too many Fenders is like complaining about your smoothie being too thick to suck through the straw, first world problems indeed.
