Just gotta say that JT is right IMO. Fieldy has good time and locks with David. His tone works well in the situation. I used to like his style but that was 5 years ago and I've grown up.

im not saying he sucks, but when people talk about him theyre like : "oh my god, fieldy. the bass god!" and they like worship the fella.
Actually I do other things with my basses than fire, and I'm very satisfied with them.
And if I hear someone calling Fieldy "the bass god" or anything similar, I just asume they have very limited knowledge on bass, and don't waste my time opening a thread on it.
I think Fieldy is a good bass player, and by that he - like all bass players should - plays the lines that fit in best with the band he's in.
The low, percussive sound he has rocks. It was one of the reasons i started to play bass, i will say that once i could play fieldy's lines - not entirely difficult - i got sick of it because i couldn't get the tone he does and it sounded crap.

There's a Hellraiser FIVE? I've only seen four.
I thought they truly ended it in the fourth one.
I'm a fairly big fan. I thought the second one was the weakest actually, although the fourth one had a slight 'Robocop: Resurrection' feel to it.

i thought hellraiser 5 was sorta cool - very different story.
i think it would be really cool if they started a hellraiser/twilight zone sorta series, hosted by pinhead. twilight zone type stories, but darker and more hellraiser-esque in theme and presentation.

RE using Ibanezes for firewood.
I know many happy Ibanez owners (Including myself) who really like Ibanez basses.
Granted, the lower priced ones (Soundgear etc) are not great, but I have a BTB and it kicks ass. By the way, Fieldy is talented. Obviously not to the degree of Stu Hamm or Victor Wooten, but he's not bad. And, because we have the same pre-amp, I can pull his sound off to a tee.
Anyone else with an Ibanez find the ability to do this?

Re: Ibanez for firewood - I like my EDB605, and it's a good thing - it'd be lousy firewood! probably not good for the ozone layer burning some of these Ibanez basses...
