Fieldy's sound

when someone says, fieldy sucks, regardless of smiley faces after it, when its said as many times on this board as it is, i can see a fieldy fan's position. i wouldnt at all blame them for getting offended because of the amount of respect fieldy gets on this board. if people said mike watt sucked as much as they say fieldy sucks around here, id get pretty damn tired of it. but thats just my opinion. if bashing players makes you feel special, go on. i dont like fieldy either, but its just the idea, i man hell, who are any of us to say a professional bassist sucks, especially if the guy, regardless of skill, is inspiring people, then hes doing something, he deserves respect for that. i guess it just gets old after a while, i know if my favorite players were talked about as bad as he does, id get pissed.
Now you make it sound like IM bashing someone. "If bashing people makes you feel special"...well, id like to see where i bashed Fieldy. The "Fieldy still sucks" comment was in JEST, BECAUSE of the fact he gets no love here. Calm.
Not to get off topic (lol) but I was wondering how someone could criticize Fieldy for not being melodic when KoRn isn't a melodic band. Too me, a melodic style wouldn't fit into their scheme. I think his style fits perfectly with what KoRn wants to do, in my humble opinion, that's a very big role of the bass.
Actually, all his strings are down a step, to ADGCF. That doesnt make the sound though. The question has been pretty well answered, here and elsewhere.
What? Why? Thats kind of a lame excuse. There wasnt even any fighting. I heard whining, but no fighting. I see no reason to close the thread. You cant go around and close every single thread. Lame.
