Iran was playing for the tie, while praying to surprise them the whole game. They where 2 minutes away from accomplishing that. The Bosnia vs Nigeria game should make up the lack of excitement this one had.

Just because they were playing for a tie doesn't mean they didn't have their chances. They had chances and they had a clear penalty stolen from them. I'd say there was excitement in this one.
No definitely had there chances and some great shots. The best shot of the game was still that header the goalkeeper barely gets his fingertips on to push it over the goal. Argentinan goalkeeper was the player of the game.
There was plenty excitement I was just cranky cause in my time zone this is me having to wake up early for a game hungover after a long night haha good game

That was actually an enthralling game, really full of surprises. Amazing performance from Iran, they played way above their usual game against all the odds. But when Messi turns it on, he can do just about anything. Fair result overall - Iran did brilliantly well for 91 minutes, and then Messi won it outright in three seconds flat. That's football, I guess.
Querios was rather ungracious after the match in blaming the ref ... dubious penalty claim, I thought the ref did well.
They lost to a piece of Messi magic - and a great save - RVP's goes in, wonder goal, today, wonder save. His team plated well and executed their game plan very well...sours it by having a go at the ref.IMHO, of course.

Ghana's looking really good so far. But just like in the US game they don't really know how to finish plays too well.
I was neutral on this game but really liked how Ghana played. I feel for them only because that's 2 games where I think they've been the better team, and have no wins to show for it. That's the way the game works sometimes though.
