Was reading some more of it in the paper today, it was covering the reaction by Uruguay, talking about the sanctions as being a modern day lynching etc. They seem to completely avoid the fact he f'ing bit someone!

There was also some saying that this was basically the end of days, that the repercussions (mainly in terms of what it does to Liverpool) would see FIFA getting ditched and Super League corporations being developed.

Right plus we can't use pitch for futbol too strong of an association in baseball that word is used every other minute trying to count the times vin scully & announcers have said here's the pitch is like every child in the world who's ever said you can't catch me it's going to be entertaining from here on I wish more qualifiers were televised or online consider the hundreds of matches 40-some teams in Asia alone but that includes M.E. & India

Biggest surprise,, Spain getting turned to mush.

Biggest deception, "there was no bite", no...... no one fell for that, no proper answer tbh, probably Diego Costa's manufactured penalty.

Flopping is to be expected, I suppose, but there are more big floppers in the World Cup than there are in a Las Vegas cosmetic surgery clinic. There should be some kind of after the fact penalty for blatant flops like some of these guys take. I caught snippets of Belgium/South Korea and there were several really obvious instances of Korean players swooning in an attempt to draw a penalty. The ref was having none of it, good for him, but the BS attempts to draw penalties is cheap and should have consequences. I suggest breaking a few of their bones so they have something to whine about for real, but that might be a little harsh.
