And, apologies again for comparison, but eye gouging in Rugby will land you with anywhere between a 3 month and a 3 year suspension (depending on severity).

No need to apologise, Rugby is an excellent comparison, considering how rough, tough, and hard it is, many of these things(gouging, biting) would get a far more severe ban than what Suarez is looking at.

I'd also imagine repeatedly acting like this would get him absolutely smashed on a rugby pitch.

Great game. I'm actually liking how this refs letting it slide on a lot of these. And he's calling it (or not calling some lol) evenly on both sides. Its like he's saying "ok these are the games that matter now, stop crying and get up and play"
