Figuring out right strings for weird tuning

Any really light gauge set of strings for ADGC will probably get you there on a 32" bass. Just make sure the high string is wound. You could also just tune ADGC and use a capo.

Are you looking to play actual cello rep or just play around with high tunings?
Well - I would be interested in cello rep if i dig the sound and playability and such - but would make the effort to learn 5ths tuning for that.

Really I have two instigating reasons - i thought it would be interesting to use alongside a synth pedal - just moving into a somewhat higher register, and to use to play more melodic accompaniment/countermelody with a keyboardist with a heavy left hand
