can't say i'm a huge fan of the pre-amp, but it is very loud unplugged, and plays better than any acoustic i have encountered as of yet, and at that price i simply couldn't pass it up!

Less barking, more wagging!
I like my Takamine - it's great for working out songs without an amp, and playing acoustically with friends at home and on vacation, but I'm not fond of the strings; too zingy, and lacking on bottom.
What kind of strings are you using?
If a fellow TBer has tried using a soundhole plug to eliminate feedback when playing amplified, how'd it work for you?
I find I need a plug when I am playing with the amp right behind me. It feeds back.
As you turn up the amp, the feedback gets worse unless you use the plug.
