o, BTW i am getting this bass to play mostly grunge....do you think this bass will be able to keep up?

Kirst Novoselic played an Ibanez Roadstar for a while (correct me if I am wrong) which is in the same ball park as a Jazz Bass.

I played in a grunge/garage type band for a while with my Geddy Lee Jazz, it sounded perfect. Be sure to put some good Medium/Medium light roundwound strings on it, those will really set it off.

get the one that has the neck which is more comfortable to you. J and P neck profiles differ a lot and IMO thats a pretty big factor. for grunge both a J and P will work fine

yea i think its going to be the Jazz because i have a piece of crap fake Jazz now and when i tried the Fender P before the neck felt a bit weird...
