I actually found this site by accident, and I am so glad I did. I have been playing for a little while now, not that much, but I am not to terrible. I have played some gigs, and soon realised, that people with no musical talent or experience love to rip on the bassist. I especially love it when my friends will rag on me for playing bass while they play guitar hero and think there hot stuff. But, I have finally found a place where people know the importance of the bass.
