Find Me A Single Humbucker Bass!

If you would like to consider short scale basses:

Gibson LP Junior Tribute Bass.

Epiphone EB0.

Only available used: Squier Mikey Way Mustang and, as already suggested, Fender Pawn Shop Mustang.

If you are willing to do mods, I would suggest the Squier Bronco, you can either swap the pickup with a humbucker in single coil format or, if you also modify the pickguard, you can install a 35 sized humbucker soapbar as the pickup cavity is already made to house an EMG 35HZ sized humbucker.
For some unknown reason Fender/Squier build the Bronco with that big pickup cavity even though they equip the bass with a single coil strat guitar pickup.

I modded a Bronco with an EMG 35HZ soapbar and upgraded the bridge with a 4-saddle Schaller bridge as the stock is a 2-saddle bridge.
I also changed pickguard with b/w/b one.

Someone local to me has one for sale, $600 Canadian (if buying just the bass alone, he's selling a few other things too)...looks mint...

That's a Sterling by MusicMan Ray34, the asian production. MusicMan Sterling is a model of bass from Ernie Ball MusicMan and made in the US. I know, I know, it's confusing...

I like a single bucker in the middle. My Warwick had it, and on my current bass - which has three minibuckers- I only use the middle position humbucker. I don't why, but that seems to be the pickup positioning that I like. The Peavey G bass has it in that spot too, and everyone I know who has one of those loves them.

Thanks for all the input guys! Not a huge fan of Peavey, and especially their 35" scale basses - played a few of them and my hands no likey. BUT I can't say I didn't expect all the Ray suggestions - definitely one of the more prominent options. As well, the short scale suggestions are really intriguing as I love my Mustang P/J (would like to avoid modding though), so maybe a G&L Fallout Tribute? Hmmm... it seems like my main options right now are:
Sterling Ray34CA
USA Sterling Classic (would take some searching)
G&L L-1500 (came up with this one on my TB odyssey)
MTD Kingston - how are the necks on these bad boys?
