fingerstyle funk string gauge?

if you like to really dig your fingers in and pop each note like Stanley Clarke, I recommend checking out the funkmaster set by rotosound. it's a light set that has a bright sound. the low tension is great for slapping, plucking, and sturmming but they can buzz a lot if you aren't careful with your fingers.

Bump- I'm due a string change to add some revitalised growl to my Stingray 4. Any suggestions? I'm looking at DR HiBeams though they might be a bit pricey. I know the local music shops around ours seem to stock D'Addario, Rotosound and Ernie Ball strings almost exclusively.
