thanks mike. i dont plan on getting a new tranny anytime soon, as i have some amps that fit the higher powered bill, but maybe one day. it is true that there are deffinately many amps that are not ideal. as for the winded filament supply, does the capacitance make any difference? i can understand with signal, but the heaters arent really a problem as far as i can see. at 50/60hz, theres going to be very minimal extra current going through, and that seems to be the only issue i can see. deffinately not good for signal though.
