It'll be a nice, versatile bass for you. P pickup for bread and butter stuff, humbucker for when you need to cut through.

Actually many modern punk bands use the humbucker so.... besides punk isn't about the color of ones instruments it's about being ones self that's it.

I was under the impression that punk was what was available to a generation of kids raised by single parents, lacking in attention or prospects, drinking malt liquor and rebelling against a world that didn't care about their prospects.
