I was six years old. Magic flowed forth from the car's speakers.

Her '77 Buick Regal was the only car I personally encountered that had a factory-installed 8 track player. She has always been a huge Cocker fan, and I believe I recall also seeing a Mad Dogs & Englishmen in her stack. There were several others but everything beyond Cocker is too fuzzy a recollection.

I got to see him play in Santa Barbara in the early 90s. Astounding. Unfortunately the sound was a bit fuzzy for the first 20 minutes, but once dialed in it was dynamite. That cat could sing.
