First Rickenbacker!!

Enjoy, friend! The only bass I have ever regretted selling was my bought-new 1972 4001. Got by without a Ric for twenty years and now I am gassin' bad for one!

The P doesn't sound anything like the Rick and the Jazz can sound kinda like the Rick but still a large difference.

It's weird but I hear more Ric tones in a Precision than a Jazz, but I acknowledge most think the opposite.

I suppose I hear some P'ish sounds too but that bridge pickup really sends the overall tone towards the J bass side.

I ordered bezel... Turns out they are spendy for molded pieces of plastic...

Now I'm hunting for a VT Bass pedal to complete my vintage sound!!

Someday I'll own a Ric and be a complete person, whether I fall in love with it or keep playing the P and the EB. Is there any other bass, really? Once you have played a P, played an EB, and played a Ric, you are pretty much done. Everything else is fluff.
