It's a ridiculous looking setup regardless of the reason, for a live show.

Now, if they were trying to do a recording with "live" sound it might be very practical for eye contact or something. I'm just trying to think of when this would be a good idea.

There's plenty of ways to work the kit onto that stage, move some speakers on the floor? Two of the other performers on each side? Even drums on far right or far left and everyone in a line.

But that is just silly.
