Flame Broiled Candy Cola Jazz Bass

Of course. But I assume that he created this thread to read opinions about his 'creation'. Otherwise, why even create the thread? :)

Yeah, good point. I guess I was referring to those who said the finish was "worthless", but obviously I didn't make that distinction in my post.

FWIW I love relics, even the faux ones (when executed well). Larry's torched basses are a little too much for my taste, but he gets kudos from me for doing something different.

Hey Larry, just made a quick trip from Ca to NYC, the highlight of which was taking a hike over to the store where I could pay homage to the Scorched Precision. I have to say that after seeing it in person I am compelled to call for an end to the burnt-bass-as-art debate. I would now like to formally announce the beginning of the burnt-bass-as-cultural-icon debate. To that end, I from this time forward am referring to my recent trip as a 'pilgrimage' and only in those semi hushed tones I have previously reserved for describing Graceland.

So many people in an uproar over a finish. I mean, I don't like bright hunter orange, but I'm fine with someone refinishing their bass to that.

I like it Larry. What do you charge for this service? Or is it exclusive to VIPs only.
