Flare or bell bottom jeans

Flares all the time back in the day. I wouldn't mind having a pair now!

True bell bottoms were just too wide for me. They looked cute on girls, though.

Oh yeah, I do miss long-haired girls with low-riding flared jeans. That brings back some heated memories.

+1. Back in the day I always liked the low rise waste hip-hugger jeans with just a slight flare on the legs. I always thought they were complimentary on young ladies.

She looks like she would fit right in a "Partridge Family" episode...and I mean that in the most complimentary way!

Back in the day that is pretty much all we wore. Here is a photo I took of my 17 yo girlfriend, later to be my wife, in the 70's. She still has these jeans packed away in a box in the garage. Maybe she could ware them at next years Halloween party.

Proof that they looked good on girls.

I thought bell bottoms were standard stage gear when floor monitors were only something you saw when national touring acts came to town. You stood in front of your amp and turned up until it ruffled your bell bottoms, then you knew you were loud enough. Almost as essential as the singer cupping an ear.

I don't know if I would now but I did in my 20's. I took a pair of regular jeans, split the seam at the leg hole and installed a red velvet piece to make them flair.
I miss those jeans.

I remember seeing Jack Casady and his band SVT at an outdoor venue. Jack had several huge stacks. My flares were flapping in time with his bass.
