Flare or bell bottom jeans

Maybe not............

I was born in 1973, but there's a picture of me out there somewhere, at about five or six years old, wearing a pretty sweet pair of "Toughskins" red sort of flared bells. There were like really extra-wide boot cuts. I don't know what happened to the picture anymore, but I recall that they were my favorite pants, with a really big belt buckle.

Back in the day that is pretty much all we wore. Here is a photo I took of my 17 yo girlfriend in the 70's. She still has these jeans packed away in a box in the garage. Maybe she could ware them at next years Halloween party.

That totally reminds me of that episode of That 70s show where Bob has the entire family dress up in American flag bell-bottomed jumpsuits when Gerald Ford comes for a town hall meeting.

I was also born in 1973... I think our generation were the last to wear the true bell bottoms... Boot cuts are similar, but not authentic bells...

That could be. The ones I had were definitely not like standard boot cut, which I'm wearing right now. These were way wider. I think they were hand-me-downs from an older child of family friends.
