Flats on an active bass

I have never seen nor experienced a bass that sounded bad with flats on it.

You should try Sadowsky Black Label flat, MID sounding flat is easily create vary tone with on-board preamp.

I have Dunlop Flats on my Fender Deluxe Dimension and like it, and round on my jazz ... love the mix!

at least try it, you'll know what sound you like!

I know I'm being silly, but I have some weird aversion to flats on an active bass, like its an unholy thing that just shouldn't exist.... even though I've done it (Chromes on a Cirrus)... and even though it sounded awesome.

Now I'm looking to go back to Chromes on a Peavey Axcelerator 5, displacing my DR Fat Beams. Someone reassure me it's all going to be OK...

I had fun with chromes on my passive/active jazz. I'm trying half rounds currently, but will probably end up switching to Fender 9050CLs
