I recently tried flats for the first time (Fender 9050L, 045 - 060 - 080 - 100 ) for my Squier CV 60s jazz bass, I chose them because of the price basically (I am fairly new to bass in general).

I am impressed mostly from the feeling in the fingers, and I like the sound as well

I have also an Ibanez Mikro short scale (28.6") and now I really can't stand the feeling of rounds it has (when doing simple slides for example) comparing to jazz bass.

Thread 'Flats for a 5-string Mikro'

I love my Mikro 5 (28.6" scale, BEADG). I have LaBella DTB Flats on it right now, and they're solid, but I'm always searching, and I might appreciate flats that have a bit more zing. But they gotta be BEADG Short Scale, and sets like this are hard to find. Any recommendations that fit these parameters?

(Mikro basses have a bit extra headstock length between the nut and the pegs so that SS strings will still fit.)

So I just got an Ibanez shorts scale bass. Are there any flatwound strings that will fit that size? I believe it is a 28" scale.

I want to try flatwounds for the first time. I currently have 2 basses, a squier classic vibe 60s jazz bass and an ibanez mikro (PJ).

Jazz bass is much brighter, its long scale of course. On the other hand mikro sounds to me closer to the flatwound sound I hear on videos
Which one you think I should buy flatwounds strings for?
