  5. They did a write-up in BP on this basses. He's trying to provide a "quality" entry level bass. Good for him - although I am not a huge fan of the design.

And yeah - 43" scale... someone has lydexia at Musician's friend...

    I'd hit it.

It has a horn to balance properly, what for me it makes more attractive than most gibson basses.

I like them and would buy one. The only gripe i have is that the pickguard appears glued on.

I am not a kid either...

    To each his own...

For an 'entry level' bass, that's expensive. Converted into £s, that's 340 or so, which is almost into MIM Precision territory. And I can't even afford one of them....

+1 on the glued on pickguard too.

I know this has been hit on a zillion times, but I still fail to see how this provides for the new generation of players more than Squier and SX, both of which can be had for less money and are just as accessible. I imagine the Squier would be even more accessible considering every guitar store on the planet seems to carry a Squier bass or two.

Providing for the new generation? More like providing for his bank account.

  16. His BP comments were that these basses were to be completely gone over and set-up before they were shipped so you would not have to worry about rough frets, intonation issues, etc.

Dearer apparently ... Bass Guitar Magazine (UK) had an article this month that says 34" is GBP499 and 30" at GBP449. .. thats almost a zillion of our $ LOL.

  18. But it is a Flea Bass so they will play so much better than entry level Basses of other Manufacturers :eyebrow:

I like the premise of what he is doing - I just can get over how butt ugly the Basses are - I mean you have a chance to create something with your name on it for posterity and this is the best design to cost Bass you can create. :meh:
