Has anyone out there had problems dealing with Gerry Suprenant the builder of Flite Cabinets lightweight bass speaker cabinets? I ordered from his website...which disappeared recently ...and paid for bass cabinets 3 months ago...Gerry keeps giving excuses why he cannot ship the speakers to me....does not deliver goods he promises. I hear others had problems with Gerry... anyone want to comment?

Flite Cabinets Gerry Suprenant - problems dealing with him

I actually live two towns from him. I've tried a couple times to get him to make me something but for some reason he didn't want me to stop by with payment - he insisted I mail it to him. No thanks, too hinky for me. He's actually a drummer in a local band although I've yet to see them. From what I can find out he had lost a child a couple years back, got divorced and hasn't been able to keep it together since

I sent a cab back to him for repair the first of March of this year.. has not fixed or returned it yet (Aug. 12th now).. I keep emailing him but he has suddenly stopped sending replies.. not sure what to do now.. he had been good to deal with until now.. I'm sorry to say this but I'm beginning to feel like he has stolen my cabinet. Any suggestions?

Got the message machine.. I don't want to trivialize how much I like the cab he built for me.. with either my GB Shuttle 6 or my Fender Rumble 350 head, it kicks really hard for weighing only 18 lbs.. I just can't seem to get my other cab back.. ugh. And thank you all for your help and suggestions.

Seems like folks are always having problems with Flite customer service! I somehow got lucky: Had two interactions over a span of maybe 5 or 10 years, both went flawlessly, I still own the two Flite cabinets that I bought on those two separate occasions...but I am well aware that I may be in the minority. Weird.

Better add Robby Hoinsky at Art of Noise Audio to the list. He is also ripping people off big time and should be avoided.
Marc Serio @ Dr.Bass is probably the only more shady builder. Hope things work out for you. But very unfortunately, wouldn't count on it, anytime soon at least.
I hate threads like this. 
For it's relatively tiny market it makes you wonder what's with the small-scale cab builders who seem to initially have a positive TB presence. Sure, things happen in life but this IMO is fraud with legal cover when the builder either can't or has no intention to provide the product the consumer paid for.

I wish I could start a cab building business so I could at least operate in an honest fashion and keep money out of the crooks' hands.
Hmmm....may have dodged a bullet there. I asked for a quote awhile ago and then I received some aggressive emails, which was a red light to me. I'm still interested in Greenboy's design. I'm just going to find another option when the time to pursue it again comes up.
Yeah, check out the GreenBoy Forum and you will find a whole thread dedicated to people getting ripped off by AoN.
There are LOTS of very trustworthy top-shelf Authorized Builders for greenboy designs. If you want composite Mike Arnopol is your guy.

Sorry to hear about this. I checked out the thread on the Greenboy Forum. Very depressing. It's really too bad that these bass builders and cab builders who rip people off don't have multiple customers in Youngstown, Ohio. Things would sort themselves out rather quickly if that were the case.

Problems with Flite Cabs report here -by Gerry Suprenant / Flite Ultralite Speaker Cabinets / Flite bass cabinets. As mentioned in the Customer Service thread, this is strictly for posting who, model(s) ordered and date of order. I want no stories, complaints, etc. Just the ordering info so we truly know how many members have what on order.
