OK, so I'm going to attempt to make a Flying V bass soon but I need some specific measurements for the body... Anyone have a Flying V guitar or something that they can measure up for me, or have a diagram or somehting that I can use?

bad choice, its not really a bass you are making, but a shape.
even try a common shape like a p-bass?

Hi.
I've built one back in the day and I can tell You that there's no help in replicating the guitar body. I used a nineties V-91 as a template, no luck. I have a late 80's V-83 now so I can take some measurements if You like, but those won't help.
To get the bass balanced and still looking good is really hard and requires multiple trials with the body shape and dimensions, if starting from scratch.
There was one really, really beautiful F-V crafted by a luthier here, bought by a TBer. I'll look it up.

. Found that bass of Yours from the archieves and thought that was it, but no.
Do You remember the one with a V (original) headstock and some kind of figured wood top?

I was thinking the same as a Gibson flying V shape... nothing more radical than that. Could anyone help out?
