Fodera Club Part II

Might as well throw mine up. I usually don't do this, especially since I don't like TB clubs, per se, but I suppose I should. They're due in about a year or so. I've sold most of what I own, minus the Zons, to pay for them (the rest going straight into school). These will be the last instruments I get to purchase at least until I finish residency...so, er, around 8-9 years. Sigh. It's really the last big purchase I'll get to make for the next decade (assuming my car lasts that long!).

Two instruments, both Garrison bodies, but tweaked a bit.

Using timothy's template...
Top: #1 and #2 katalox tops/backs, matching headstock
Body: #1 maple body, #2 mahogany (tone block up to Vinnie)
Neck: #1- 5 piece ash/ebony neck, #2- 5 piece wenge/purpleheart neck
Fretboard: #1 birdseye maple fingerboard, #2 katalox fingerboard,(subject to their approval), both 16.5mm spacing, both with face dots
Pickups: #1/#2 Lane poors with radiused katalox covers and ramp
Preamp: Pope
Others: 33", 26 fret, black hardware.

Stockpiled.

The former employee that is supposedly starting the thing up again is absolutely awful with replying to questions (I've dealt with him in the past), so I don't have any faith whatsoever in that operation.

(I'm not referring to Adam Charette, the other former employee who also makes pickups. He's absolutely great to deal with!)

I just have a lot of NOS pickups.

I definitely feel interested to see how these basses turn out!! :bassist::bassist:

I guess I should toss mine in as well she should be done very soon:

Imperial 5 slightly downsized
Figured Koa top with sap in the center
Matching headstock
Ash body
Ash heel block
Birdseye maple fretboard
Abalone blocks and creme binding
Small frets
Duncan Single coils
34" scale

Here's a shot of my top in the raw:

Whether that actually means they're in business is another question entirely. I'm not sure I really trust it unless Adam were involved, and even then, I have my reservations about it.

I agree, but rather than speculating I thought it prudent to post the link via which one may just be able to get some information.

OK, it seems like this is my time to show what mine will be look alike.
I've been to shop today to see some walnut top what Jason has mentioned here but I found my maple burl top which I had choose last year is just what I wanted.
Thanks to Jason, it is scheduled around Christmas time. Perfect gift for long waiting.

Mine will be
AJ 5 body shape, not presentation in term of AJ's thought.
walnut body with semi hollow body, burl maple top, 5 pc maple neck, 2 duncan dual pick up w/wooden cover
indian rosewood board-it is very dry & sounds great, 35/24, Pope pre amp
I was thinking going to 34 but Joey makes me to go back to 35. I believe him. My last 6 string was a monster.:crying:

Here's some pics.

I don't know which side will on top but it is up to Vinnie as he is the man of eyes.
Enjoy!!

Beyond the top wood though, I LOVE semi hollow bodied basses. That'll be my next bass....

Thanks man. I am curious about sound too. I had different Foderas with many combination but it is first time to have semi hollow body.
Joey told me it sounds little airy & woody but still got solid sound also. & it is lighter than solid body for sure. He told me max. 2 lbs.
I can't wait to play it. A month & half away. :help:
