You can't ignore that for a number of Fodera players, there is no lust to br cured. That is a huge statement in itself especially given the caliber of players that are happy with their foderas. Anyone can get caught in a pissing match saying this is better or that is better but that means very little when you are talking about how well a tool performs. It should be clear what a fan of Fodera would say and why they would say it instead of having to argue the merits ofwhy it was said in the first place. Better to judge by the quality of their fanbase than merits of words spoken by humans, which is always a setup for a failed conversation on qualitative measurements, but of course a reoccuring theme on the topic of who's the best luthier or even whose the best band. Suffice to say it's evident they hit a mastery level, past that it's oranges vs bananas, and some people just don't like citric acid.
Huh? Same can be said for a number of Sadowsky fanatics, MTD players, Ken Smith guys, and a host of other brands. There are many Fodera players that own other intstruments , and there are many other world class players that dont play Foderas that only play " their brand".
.
In a nutshell, that is it. You are expecting some dialogue that is really going to tell you exactly why one is better than the other, good luck getting that. I am just saying, you should know better than to look for an answer like that, but it sounds like you are pushing for it anyways. What do you expect to find here except that Fodera players are really happy with their own instrument?
Pope gave an honest and human take on it ( he also understood the question I was posing) that goes beyond the standard response you gave which was based on your misunderstanding of the point I was raising.
just to be clear, i gave much the same answer as mike, albeit in a rather more rambling fashion.
perhaps, since he's a "name" guy, you think his response is more worthy? (which has some of the same issues as "name players play X bass," by the way.)
jes' saying.

I found a Fodera Emperor II on sale. The following pictures shows the bass in question. Comparing these pictures with a pictures on Fodera website I found some differences: preamp layout, bridge... I would like to read some opinion about the bass in question. Thanks in advance.

Well, I'm not JustThumpin (I play some fingerstyle as well..I doubt you for a second but I'm just wondering how you spotted that?
Did I say something out of turn somewhere?
if you want a totally unbiased opinion read a magazine. If you want an opinion from fodera owners read this club thread. All this useless arguing. Not that a magazine is going to give you an unbiased opinion either.
Cool.
Yep, I'll be there with them and my stuff as well. I'm becoming a NAMM member and am buying a little space in the booth. But we'll all be right there together. I'll see you then, I guess?
LOL. What are you talking about ? This is funny now.
I wonder if anyone here other than Mike Pope, Steubig, and Munji can follow a simple discussion....
