Fodera Club Part III

All of our bridges are solid brass with a plating over the brass (gold, black or chrome). I own several Fodera's with gold bridges that are 25+ years old and have ZERO corrosion. It is imperative that a player wipes down the strings and bridge to remove sweat after each time the instrument is used if he / she wants to avoid the problem of corrosion.

Properly cared for these bridges will last a long, long time...

And, yes, we can do Chrome Hardware. Cheers!

Hello Folks, I'd love to hearing from you.

I have a plan for ordering custom Fodera.
I've played sooo many bass and then I just found out a tone that I wanted very long time. I found out it at Fodera. -Of course it is really individual.!-

So I wanna have my own Fodera.
And I want that My Fodera will be not only Great Fodera - like every Fodera- but also One-of-a-kind. So I'm thinking of it.

If I had particular taste (like One PU, 28 fret, perfect passive and so on..) It would be more easy to make my own Fodera.
However My taste is sooo common! - Singlecut, Dual Coils, Mike Pope Pre-amp, 24fret, 35 scale.- and there were and will be so many this kinds of fodera in Used Marcket.

If I ordered now, I have to wait for 2years and I have to pay Maximum price.
So,,, If I met Fodera in the used-marcket or Dealer shop that similar to mine when I'm waiting my fodera, I would be really really frustrated...

So I want to know things - That Can be done only through custom order.!! (except Yin-Yang style top.)

What do you think?

A custom order is a commitment, if you haven't ever done one then almost assuredly during that wait you'll see something you wish you had the dough to jump on.

But that is where discipline comes in, if you want a bass that is personal to you then you just need to smile when you see that instrument and keep practicing. Because anything else is irrelevant to your custom order.

That said, if you aren't looking for anything super customized, just keep a lookout and your wallet ready. Very nice Fodera's pop up here and there and if you know exactly what you are looking for, I am sure you can make it happen within a year. Check here and ebay on a daily basis, along with thelowend and basscentral and such, and also Fodera's site, or maybe Jason has a good way for those guys to keep an eye out.

There WILL be exactly that in the new website...it probably will not be historical as there is just not enough hours in the day to go backwards in time and pull old photos, but as we create new ones, we will begin posting them.

Look for major changes to the website coming over the next 2-3 months!!

The one cd that I listened to a lot for a while was Michele Camillo's Randezvous. Phew! Check that one out for sure.

You can find some clips that have Anthony with Simon Phillips on Youtube where he's using a bass that's identical to the one that someone linked for sale here. Bear in mind that the sound quality isn't very good though.

I got that michel camilo album- "el realejo" is an interesting track from that cd, right?
I also got "force majour" and "another lifetime" with simon phillips but don't really like them.
When bartolini came up , I was just interested in seeing how much of a difference they would have made to the tone and was ,for that reason, looking what cds might serve as reference .

Anyone know what instrument was used on the "easy pieces" cd?

Yeah man...I was thinking the same thing when I mentioned the Simon Phillips stuff....not into it. A lot of great playing with no soul to the music.

We have plenty left for pup covers, several pieces for non-solid tops (for neck-throughs) and only a couple for solid tops and only one truly killer solid top piece left...
