I'm exited to see that piece Mike!
It sure sound like a revolutionary piece of work indeed.

Anyways I did a quick home recording.. little jazz ditty... 10 mins work... and wow does the emeror sit well in the mix!
Playing something and hearing someting back are two completely different things I discovered! I don't record anything I'm basically doing jam session here and there so this is quite new to me.

So here it goes a simple 2-5 walk with and without solo:p and this is an old 93 emp with haz and bart layout.:ninja:

We just finished this bass a couple of weeks ago. The PUP spacing is normal. As for the question about Tom and AJ's PUP spacing -- I need to ask Joey tomorrow!

Yes, the top IS amazingly stunning!!

Wow wonderful.! it is 36" and 28fret.

To Jason, I think its front PU's position is normal.
I'd like to ask you whether AJ's position is smilar to position of Tom kennedy's front PU.

If front PU move toward bridge (like AJ or TK), how its sound?
Is it more similar to Precision's?

Thanks Soooo much in advance :)

Sort of.

This is an ash body with a Buckeye Burl "Pickguard". It's about half what you were looking for. :)

Man, having a picture of one of those Grabbers in a Fodera thread is just not right. One of the worst instruments even made (well, maybe not that much worse than the Ripper).

The movable pickup thing did work on that bass though... you could easily go from suck to REALLY suck

:p

At least we agree on that...
:D

I HATE Gibson...

Cheers,
Cameron

Anyone have pictures of the Garrison hollowbody? I remember seeing a few pics of it from NAMM, but I haven't seen or heard anything about it since. Reminds me of this Fodera, which has to be one of my favorite basses ever!:

This is hands down one of the best looking basses Fodera has made...I love that one.

I can't wait to hear Matt's new hollow body bass. He said he's going to use it on his next album........I can't even imagine what that thing would cost though.

My bass is nothing to look at, really. At least up close. It's pretty battle scarred. There are divots in the back of the neck and black marks along the edges of the maple board where my sweaty hands have worn it out. The gold is all shot, and of course there's a huge hole in the front of it that's covered with a pickguard. The BP article they did back in '04 or whenever that was had pics of it that were photoshopped to fill in the gaping hole that was there. There are extra holes in the control cavity where I've had various configurations of stuff, as well as one on the bottom near the strap lock where I had a 5 pin XLR connector for a while.

The new one will have a top, though, and hopefully won't be the subject of so much genetic research :-)
