nice looking, anyone has its specs?thx

That was David Beasley's prototype fretless for the Beez Elite, or something like that. specs are.

Scale 36" 3 piece maple neck with slightly slimmer D profile
Madagascar kingwood board
Roller tuning machines custom made for me by bassist Gary Willis
Crotch walnut top and back
Custom wound Aero K pickup similar to one in fretted
Mahogany core purchased from a civil war era lumbar yard 11 years prior to my picking it out of Fodera's wood stash.

Does anyone here have any pics of Fodera basses with no fancy tops?
Or no Facings on the body at all, just "natural" varnish on them?
I'd be interested to see some.

This top is pretty plain but still amazing

That is Vic's bass and that is a great observation...he was in the shop this past Friday to do a couple of things including working with Vinny on a radical new bass design (it should be complete late this year) and Joey on some possible different pickup options...nothing set in stone...just the research phase.

Did Victor change his loved EMG from his Walnut Yin/Yang bass?

Jason - I'm a Fodera nerd :) Also Vic has always the Fodera logo plate on headstock off on this bass
A lot of things happing at Fodera and I can't wait to see the results. Can you tell more about the new design :)

Also I found this picture on Janek Gwizdala's facebook. It's not him playing the Fodera I know. But is this his new Fodera MG. No preamp?

I guess the pre is still on the bass, only the lighting makes the knobs seems disappear, if you look closely, there are some knobs (eq) still.

Many Fodera Players (myself included) leave the logo plate off of the headstock so that it is easy to get to the truss rod to make adjustments when needed. Remember, these guys travel allover the world and a neck is going to move a bit when the bass goes from 20 degrees and dry to 90 degrees and humid...

As for the design of the new bass, I cannot share that at this time because it will truly be the first of its kind and will allow Victor some incredible, new artistic freedoms...

TB'ers WILL know first! Promise...
