I'm not sure how the triple plus sounds, but it's the among the nicest basses I've ever seen with three pickups. It really "works" on that bass, visually.

lower the pick up away from the strings, also Carey Nordstrand told me that contact core strings will make the situation worse as well

I'm wondering whether maple "burl" fingerboard is a typo. Otherwise, do you use maple burl for fingerboard as well as Top?
