I haven't put it down to even take shots it is absolutely amazing and the most fenderish sounding Fodera I have ever owned...

I've personally never liked gold hardware and in the case of Fodera, most of them I see have gold so your bass' black (along with the other features) sets it apart in a great way.

The only thing I could think of to top it is if the pickups were hidden in soapbar-sized wood covers.

Thanks bro but personally I love the look and the feel under my fingers of the singles...I have a killer ramp that matches the top and I bet an ebony one would give the look your after...

Now thats a beautiful bass IMO. Its boutique but not too coffee table, and the black hardware (vs gold) plus the black singles contribute to that side of things.

3 questions:

Northern or swamp?
Big frets?
Duncans, Aeros or Foderas?

I could see a killer burst over this top as well...:rollno:

sweet looking bass. love the abalone blocks. how about some oldies but goodies. here are some pics of 4 of my 5 foderas. the other one is a first generation 6 string and actually at the shop for the last few years.

my first serial number in the 20's.. My signature model literally with the old wooden butterfly. walnut over ash. ebony fretboard

number two is very much like victors first. mahog body with emg's except mine is in brazilian rosewood which is pretty impossible to get nowadays. # in the 30's. rosewood board and hand cut huge abalone butterfly - sorry no pics yet.

next up is a 5 string - walnut body spaulted beechwood. 22 frets to keep stock j bass position.

How is the weight??
I have an order and very similar to yours:

Medium weight northern ash
Medium frets (Is it call large frets br Fodera?)
Duncans Dual Coils in 70's position...

Can't wait for your clips and review......

Very nice bass......
