I own 11 Foderas presently...10 of them have the truss rod in the "typical" position (i.e. nut at the bottom of the slot) and can be adjusted perfectly throughout the year without removing the truss rod. One of them has needed to have the truss rod flipped twice per year (spring and fall). Then within each of those 6 month periods all adjustments can be made with the rod in that position...

However, the one that needs to have its rod flipped was only built in 2009, so it will likely settle in to one rod position or the other eventually...either way it is actually my favorite Fodera so the extra 4 minutes of work a year is well worth it! LOL...

my 2 cents.. April will mark 27 years that I've had number 11 and the most I've ever adjusted the truss rod is 1/4 turn in either direction (add or take away relief). And if I recall correctly, those couple times that I had to do that involved trips from super dry NM to crazy humid Nashville and once when I sent the bass to NY for a freshen up at Fodera.. :-)

There is a laminate between the holly/ebony and the alder body. Is that also ebony? I don't believe that is standard on all Yin Yang basses. I really like it.

Hi all, yes that's mine. I've got it from Jason in April - but I'm forced to sell some of my best and most expensive basses to cover an expensive house repair. I owned about 15 Foderas up to now and there have been some quite breathtaking ones among them, but this is the one.

Hi Nikolas, Yes that used to be mine 6-7 years ago.

I bought it used from LowDownSound in US (shop is discontinued now), it was part of a huge collection they offered under consignment. And that collector ordered it with 3 PUs. It was nearly unplayed at that time.

A wonderful looking bass ! To be honest I never felt comfortable with the 3 dual coils. That was the reason I sold it.

I bought it in EBAY in Kiel in 2006 i had some money needs for living so i sold it ! and now rebought it ! I used the 3d one for more moderne tones and loved this mix ! I also had many Ken Smith, and Pre Gibson Tobias .... I play also with Hofner basses as i am endorsed by them ! I toured regulary in Germany with the texan songer Terry Lee Hales ! Thanks

The laminate is known as Anigre. Ebony would most likely be too costly to use.

It looks great when used between the body and top wood on matching pick-up covers.
