Still on the warm side (like Alder), but a bit more focused and well-balanced throughout the tonal spectrum (Alder is somewhat more warm, low-end centric). Mahogany has unmistakeable clarity and presence in the mids and the highs are a bit more forward too.
Mahogany is a great all around body wood...this is why Mike Pope and Vinny chose it for the "tonal chameleon" that is the Viceroy...
